A fabulous double row keeper ring crafted in solid 9 carat yellow gold, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1979. Keeper rings or "guard rings" as they were sometimes known were traditionally worn by ladies in the 18th century to stop more expensive rings from slipping off the finger. This ring which is great for everyday wear looks fabulous worn alone as a statement piece but can also be stacked along with other rings. In very good vintage condition with some light surface scratching to gold which adds to the story and character of the piece.

Care Instructions
Chemicals and chlorine can damage jewellery. It is recommended that you remove it when using body care products, spraying perfume or hairspray, bathing, swimming and whilst doing housework.
Settings and stones can be damaged by accidentally striking the hand against a hard surface. It is best to remove rings when carrying out any manual work or gardening.
To clean your jewellery use tepid water and a few drops of mild soap, a soft jewellery brush or cloth.
Extra care should be taken with opal, turquoise and pearl as these are porous so soaking should be avoided. To clean wipe with a damp soft cloth and avoid extreme changes in temperature.
When you are not wearing your jewellery it is best stored away in a suitable jewellery box for safekeeping.
