Our Story

Hello! I'm Kelly, thank you for visiting the shop.

Magpie Vintage Gems was created by myself through a love of mine, antique and vintage jewellery.  I have always had a passion for jewellery especially pieces from bygone eras.  There is something so special about pre-loved jewellery which you just don't find with newer pieces. I love the air of mystery and sentimentality that is attached to them and I take great pleasure in giving these pieces that were once a part of someone else's story the chance to be worn, loved and cherished again.

As a little girl I used to love looking through my grandma's jewellery box and trying on her rings and jewels. I have always been drawn to anything that sparkles and was told that I was "just like a magpie"! Hence the inspiration for the name of the shop.

Each item is handpicked and sourced by myself. I have spent time researching, cleaning and polishing each piece giving it back the sparkle it deserves. Your chosen item will have a history, it may be older than you are! Imagine the life it has led and the moments it has lived!
