How much is shipping?
Shipping is free! We use Royal Mail to ship your item using their tracked and signed for service, your item is also fully insured during transit. For more information on shipping and timings please see our shipping policy in the footer menu.
I live outside of the UK, what about customs fees?
Customers residing outside of the UK are responsible for any customs fees, import duty or VAT that may be applied to items. Rates do vary from country to country so if in doubt or for further clarification, please contact your local customs authority. We cannot accept any responsibility for delays due to customs.
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes, if you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return this for a full refund (minus postage) within 30 days. For more information on our refund policy please see our policies section in the footer menu.
Can rings be re-sized and do you offer a re-sizing service?
Most rings can be re-sized by 2-3 UK sizes. Some rings such as patterned bands and rings with certain settings cannot be re-sized, it is always best to check with us if you are unsure prior to purchase. We do not offer a re-sizing service as we feel it best for the customer to have rings re-sized with their own jeweller. The jeweller can properly measure the finger to ensure a perfect fit.
Will my order arrive boxed?
Your order will be packaged in our beautiful Magpie Vintage Gems eco-friendly jewellery box which will be wrapped in tissue paper. If your item is a gift and you would like us to include a gift tag with a message, please inform us at check out.
Will my item be in "as new" condition?
Your item has a history and as it isn't new, it may show some signs of wear which is normal in pre-loved pieces and adds to their charm. We will best detail the condition within the item description and will point out any obvious imperfections if applicable. Please bear this in mind before purchasing.
How do you date the jewellery and list the item accurately?
Items are dated using the hallmark which tells us the Assay Office where it was sent for hallmarking, the fineness of the precious metal, the year it was manufactured and the sponsor mark (the initials of the person/company that sent it for hallmarking). Some antique and older vintage pieces do not always bear a full hallmark or the hallmark may, on some occasions, be worn. Items without a full hallmark are sometimes difficult to date accurately so the date range given by us is an estimation (circa) to the best of our knowledge.
Please note that all photographs are enlarged to show detail. We feel that this is important as with pre-loved jewellery, stones and precious metals may show areas of wear. Please refer to the photographs and stone and setting measurements in the item description.
How is my payment secured?
All card payments are processed through Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) which keeps your details safe and secure. We don't ever have access to customer credit or debit card details.
Do you offer layaway?
At this moment in time, we do not offer a layaway.
