This beautiful vintage acrostic multi gemstone DEAREST ring, crafted in 9 carat yellow gold, is a beautiful nod to the sentimental jewellery traditions of the Victorian era. Acrostic jewellery was hugely popular in Victorian times and was used as a way to convey secret messages of love and endearment using precious and semi precious gemstones. Dating back to 1988, it is set with seven round cut gemstones, the first letter of each gem spelling out the word Dearest! Diamond Emerald Amethyst Ruby Emerald Sapphire Tourmaline. The sleek band, combined with its low profile design, makes it perfect for stacking with other rings or wearing as a stand alone statement of elegance. In very good vintage condition with minimal light wear and 9ct gold hallmark to inner band. Care Instructions
Chemicals and chlorine can damage jewellery. It is recommended that you remove it when using body care products, spraying perfume or hairspray, bathing, swimming and whilst doing housework.
Settings and stones can be damaged by accidentally striking the hand against a hard surface. It is best to remove rings when carrying out any manual work or gardening.
To clean your jewellery use tepid water and a few drops of mild soap, a soft jewellery brush or cloth.
Extra care should be taken with opal, turquoise and pearl as these are porous so soaking should be avoided. To clean wipe with a damp soft cloth and avoid extreme changes in temperature.
When you are not wearing your jewellery it is best stored away in a suitable jewellery box for safekeeping.
