Antique Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Tulip Statement Ring 9 Carat Yellow Gold

An exquisite antique sapphire and diamond tulip statement ring crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. An eye catching conversion piece, it is believed to date back to the Victorian era, with the head of the ring likely originating from an antique brooch. At its heart sits a beautifully detailed tulip motif, adorned with old cut diamonds that catch the light beautifully. The floral centre is framed by eight richly coloured sapphire gemstones and finished with four further old cut diamonds set in delicate bezel settings. The design perfectly balances opulence with timeless elegance. In the Victorian era, tulips symbolised perfect and enduring love, making this piece not only visually enchanting but also deeply sentimental. The design reflects the era’s fascination with hidden meaning and romantic expression through jewellery. In very good antique condition with minimal light wear and a 9ct gold hallmark to the inner band. There is evidence to the inner band of a past resize but this has been well done and is not noticable on the outer band. The hallmark dates back to 1984, suggesting this was the period when the piece was re-imagined and submitted to the assay office as a complete ring.
