Our Policies - Shipping and Returns
UK Deliveries
All UK orders will be dispatched within 1-2 business days of the order being received by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed. This will reach the recipient by 4pm the following day (dependent on location).
Do you Deliver Outside of the UK?
Yes. Your order will be delivered to you by Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed Service. If you are outside of the UK, it can take between 7 and 21 days for your order to reach you dependent on your location.
Please note that buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.
International Orders - Customs Fees and Taxes
Customs fees, import tax and VAT on items shipped outside of the UK may be incurred and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Rates do vary from country to country so if in doubt please check with your local tax office prior to purchase.
Do you Accept Returns?
Yes. If you wish to return your item for a refund please contact us within 5 days of receipt. It should be returned within 30 days.
To be eligible for a refund your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It should be unworn and returned in its original packaging.
We are not able to accept returns on a ring that has been re-sized.
Customers are responsible for return shipping fees. This should be returned tracked and signed for and packaged securely to avoid any damage in transit.
International returns should be clearly marked "UK Returned Goods" on the outer packaging to avoid charges.
Damage Occurring After Delivery
Your piece is antique/vintage it has stood the test of time but it does still need to be treated with care. Please read the care advice provided above.
We don't always know the history of your item and pre-loved jewellery can be delicate. All items are examined and stones are checked to ensure they are secure before listing but due to age and over time, they may require maintenance. It is also possible that stones could become loose from continued wear or sustain damage from inadvertent impact. We cannot provide a guarantee for the future longevity of your item and Magpie Vintage Gems does not accept any responsibility for items after the returns period has passed.
About Our Jewellery
Your item has a history and as it isn't new, it may show some signs of wear which is normal in pre-loved pieces and adds to their charm. We will best detail the condition within the item description and will point out any obvious imperfections if applicable. Please bear this in mind before purchasing.
All stones are verified with a gemstone and diamond testing device.
With some rings it is possible that a setting could have been re-cast onto a different band. This may occur with antique rings and is done to salvage the piece where the original band is badly damaged/degraded and unable to be worn. In the same way a band may be antique but its original stones could have been damaged and replaced at some point in time.
