If you are looking to make a statement with your jewellery then what better way to do it than with an eye catching cocktail ring!
These flamboyant rings set with oversized gemstones first made an appearance in the 1920s. This was a time of great change for women, they earned the right to vote and enjoyed more freedom and independence. The flapper culture was born, fashions changed and hair styles and hemlines got shorter. Women began to frequent jazz bars and cocktail parties and would wear these lavish statement rings on the right hand to draw attention to the fact that they were sipping on an alcoholic beverage!
Falling out of favour for a time they made a resurgence once again in the 70s and 80s and are still adored by many today. Where would you wear your cocktail ring?
