A stunning vintage mosaic opal triplet ring crafted in 9 carat yellow gold hallmarked in Birmingham in 1994. The centrepiece is an oval cut opal triplet securely set in a yellow gold mount which perfectly compliments the vibrant blues, greens and pinks of the stone. The mount features intricate rope edge detailing adding a touch of vintage charm and sophistication. The setting is further enhanced with scalloped edging adding an airy and intricate aesthetic. Split shoulders add a sophisticated and balanced transition from the ornate setting to the polished gold band. The opal triplet comprises of 3 layers - a dark backing, thin slices of opal forming a mosaic pattern and a clear cap. As these layers are glued together, it is recommended to avoid water penetration and to clean only with a damp cloth. In very good vintage condition, there is a small surface nibble underneath one claw of the cap, only noticeable under close inspection. This lovely ring is a beautifully crafted piece with a harmonious blend of detail and elegant design and is sure to make a wonderful addition to any vintage jewellery lover's collection.

Chemicals and chlorine can damage jewellery. It is recommended that you remove it when using body care products, spraying perfume or hairspray, bathing, swimming and whilst doing housework.
Settings and stones can be damaged by accidentally striking the hand against a hard surface. It is best to remove rings when carrying out any manual work or gardening.
To clean your jewellery use tepid water and a few drops of mild soap, a soft jewellery brush or cloth.
Extra care should be taken with opal, turquoise and pearl as these are porous so soaking should be avoided. To clean wipe with a damp soft cloth and avoid extreme changes in temperature.
When you are not wearing your jewellery it is best stored away in a suitable jewellery box for safekeeping.
