A beautiful vintage rare DARLING acrostic multi gemstone sentiment ring crafted in solid 9 carat yellow gold hallmarked in London in 1990. This lovely ring embodies elegance and meaning and is set with seven round cut gemstones, the first letter of each gem spelling out the word Darling! A small inset Diamond, Amethyst, Ruby, Lapis Lazuli, Iolite, Nephrite, Garnet. The ring is sleek and slender, allowing for easy stacking with other rings and sitting low to the finger, is very comfortable to wear. Acrostic jewellery was hugely popular in Victorian times and was used as a way to convey secret messages of love and endearment using precious and semi precious gemstones. Whilst DEAREST rings are more commonly found, DARLING rings are rare making this piece a true treasure and sentimental find. A beautiful meaningful gift idea for somebody special.

Chemicals and chlorine can damage jewellery. It is recommended that you remove it when using body care products, spraying perfume or hairspray, bathing, swimming and whilst doing housework.
Settings and stones can be damaged by accidentally striking the hand against a hard surface. It is best to remove rings when carrying out any manual work or gardening.
To clean your jewellery use tepid water and a few drops of mild soap, a soft jewellery brush or cloth.
Extra care should be taken with opal, turquoise and pearl as these are porous so soaking should be avoided. To clean wipe with a damp soft cloth and avoid extreme changes in temperature.
When you are not wearing your jewellery it is best stored away in a suitable jewellery box for safekeeping.
