A stunning vintage chrysoprase heart Claddagh ring crafted in 9 carat yellow gold hallmarked in Birmingham in 1991. The Claddagh ring, originating from Ireland, is a wonderful piece of jewellery with a rich history and symbolic significance. Hailing from a fishing village of the same name, the ring features two hands clasping a heart set with a crown, each element holds a significant meaning. The hands represent friendship, the heart love and the crown loyalty. Set within the gold heart is a glowing green chrysoprase gemstone contrasting beautifully against the warmth of the yellow gold. In very good vintage condition with minimal light wear and 9ct gold hallmark to inner shank. Chemicals and chlorine can damage jewellery. It is recommended that you remove it when using body care products, spraying perfume or hairspray, bathing, swimming and whilst doing housework.
Settings and stones can be damaged by accidentally striking the hand against a hard surface. It is best to remove rings when carrying out any manual work or gardening.
To clean your jewellery use tepid water and a few drops of mild soap, a soft jewellery brush or cloth.
Extra care should be taken with opal, turquoise and pearl as these are porous so soaking should be avoided. To clean wipe with a damp soft cloth and avoid extreme changes in temperature.
When you are not wearing your jewellery it is best stored away in a suitable jewellery box for safekeeping.
